Darwin Group has helped spread some festive cheer by donating almost £500 worth of toys to young patients at St Luke’s Hospital, in Bradford.

The gifts will be handed out to children in hospital over the festive period. Darwin Group is currently working on a project to deliver a new day case surgical unit at St Luke’s Hospital for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The £19m project will increase patient capacity at the hospital, enabling it to deliver an additional 5,000 operations per year.

And because most day cases within the Trust will move to St Luke’s, capacity will also be created to perform an additional 1,200 operations a year for normal planned surgery and day case surgery at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
