New office, new brand – new way of thinking

Darwin Group has undergone a period of rapid change and expansion over the last 12 months, with new colleagues, a fantastic new head office and a new brand to help drive the business forward. 

CEO, Richard Pierce, reflects on what that means for the future of the leading offsite healthcare construction specialists. 

“As we’ve grown and transitioned from the education sector to become specialists in healthcare, we’ve also been able to consider our core purpose as an organisation,” says Mr Pierce, who founded Darwin Group in 2006. 

“We’ve always thought of ourselves as a construction firm that uses the latest innovation to create world-class facilities. But we’re much more than that. The work we all do, and the buildings we create, touch the lives of tens of thousands of people every single day. We are a healthcare company. We might not deliver care directly to patients, but we provide the facilities to enable the NHS to do exactly that. 

“This is what is reflected in our refreshed brand and identity. A clinical perspective, with an emphasis on delivering superb quality buildings using innovative, modern methods of construction. We aim to deliver buildings that help patients recover, that clinicians love to use and that showcase just how great the NHS can be. 

“Our refreshed visual identity and new website are the first steps in this project, but there’s much more to come. There are lots of exciting developments in the future for Darwin Group, and we’re delighted to be on this journey.”
