Our Permanent-Grade, On-Demand® urgent and emergency care healthcare facilities help you to keep things flowing on your estate, clearing bottlenecks and freeing up valuable bed space.

We have designed a fully compliant SDEC, an ambulance handover unit and a patient discharge lounge (see below for full details and specifications). All are available as standalone units, or as extensions to your existing facilities. So whatever you need to provide excellent patient care – and however long you need it for – we can help.

On-Demand^® Same-Day Emergency Care Unit

Operating as either an extension to your A&E department, or a separate dedicated space away from your hospital, our On-Demand SDEC is deployable in a matter of weeks to help keep waiting times down for urgent and emergency treatment. It features comprehensive clinic areas to assess, treat and admit patients who require emergency attention.

Designed to remove bottlenecks and improve patient flow across your organisation, alongside our Ambulance Handover Unit, the On-Demand SDEC aids in reducing handover delays and redeploying ambulances.

On-Demand^® Ambulance Handover Unit

Our On-Demand Ambulance Handover Unit (AHU) serves as a dedicated extension that adds vital capacity to your existing A&E department to increase capacity and remove bottlenecks.

It minimises handover delays between ambulance and hospital teams, improving the patient experience. The additional capacity also relieves overcrowding and improves patient flow through your care pathways.

The AHU is the perfect way to get your first responders back on the road more quickly, ready to attend to life-threatening and emergency calls.

On-Demand^® Patient Discharge Lounge

With our On-Demand Patient Discharge Lounge (PDL), you can keep patients in comfort away from beds and other areas of your hospital that can be better utilised for their intended purpose.

The On-Demand PDL allows you yo get patients home sooner, as well as offering your estate dedicated space for when they are discharged. This helps to unblock beds and improve patient flow throughout your hospital, as well as saving costs per patient per discharge, compared to awaiting discharge in a ward bed.
